Confessions of my 2nd summer in remission
Surviving cancer 2 yrs ago surely continues to evolve my approach to life daily:
Life is all about Grit, Grace, Gratitude
I have so much Gratitude for those who showed up for me with food in my weakest moments, a smoothie to avoid eating hospital food, took me for my appointments and waited in ER. That’s when I promised myself I will do the same for my loved ones, for those I care about and pick them up when they need me
My medical team told me this during my first biopsy “In the entire timeline of humankind, there has never been a better time to have cancer due to the advancements in medicine”
I’d say the same holds true for starting your company today or your climate/ longevity journey
I’d prefer a Game Of Thrones watch party to a pity party
Grit is replacing feeling sorry for yourself with a song of your choice and bouncing right back from vulnerability
Grace is being at peace with being immunocompromised at times, zip it lock it and play with it
Life is simpler with a proactive than a reactive approach, for that surround yourself with those who will walk with you unconditionally
Obsession with work is fine, with a balanced approach. That’s why a fit body is so important, your body is a temple, not a garbage dump. Money without health is useless
Time is finite, sure. Don’t take your time on this planet for granted, focus on your life priorities and not others. Write your own playbook, not who you follow on social media or who you vote for
